Summer GLEE day camps are for children in Sr. Kindergarten (Yr. 2 FDK) to grade 6, with a young leaders´ program (GLEEders) for grade 7s.

All Glee Camp Weeks Have Been Cancelled for 2020
Port Nelson’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Team made the difficult decision to cancel in-person GLEE Camps for the summer of 2020. This decision follows several weeks of carefully consulting and listening to a variety of stakeholders (local and provincial health authorities, Camp and church staff, GLEE parents) and considering a variety of information. An email will be sent to each registered family with additional information.
July 6 to 10 - cancelled July 20 to 24 - cancelled July 27 to 31 - cancelled August 10 to 14 - cancelled
TIMES:
All Camps run from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday with GLEE Concerts open to the public on the Thursdays at 3pm.
LOCATION
At Port Nelson United Church. GLEE Camp is a program of Port Nelson United Church, including registrations, staffing, and all aspects of the programming.
CAMP LEADERSHIP:
Musical Leadership
The GLEEders program is offered for campers in grades 6 and 7. It is part of the Camp.
As members of the “Gleeders” program, campers will:
- Work to develop important leadership skills including teamwork, communication, etc. through games and activities
- Be responsible for the production of a short skit to teach an important lesson to younger groups (including choosing a theme, writing a script, making props, and performing)
- Participate in the weekly concert with the rest of the camp, acting as mentors for the younger campers
- Enjoy fun camp sports and games
COST:
$125 per camp week
FAMILY REGISTRATION:


Our website registration and program selections do not support the Apple Safari browser and Internet Explorer 8 or 9.
You can register at anytime to our Family Registration. Once your information is saved we'll send an email to confirm your Family registration. Simply login once the program you are interested in opens for registration.
2020 CAMP REGISTRATION:
Our online camp registration is open. Registration is limited to 80 children per camp.
NOTE: Due to high demand and limited staff resources, we are unable to provide refunds for GLEE registrations.
Please note: Refunds will be provided in full if Port Nelson cancels the 2020 Glee Camps.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Light Snacks provided. Campers bring their own lunch. Camper to Counsellor ratio is 10:1. Counsellors are high school students from Port Nelson Church and our local community, supported by the Camp Director, and staff from our church.
Qualifying tax deductible expenses may include day camp or summer camp fees, even for camps centered around a sport or activity, qualify if the camp was selected to provide care while the parent or parents were at work. However, overnight camps do not qualify. Print your invoice if you wish to claim the camp fees on your tax return.
